Runtime Options Tab
Customize your PowWow.

Runtime Options

Buddy Requests - this is for toggling prompt/refuse for automatically receiving/refusing all buddy requests. This is handy for times when someone is a pest for a minute, just switch this to refuse and you won't recieve a series of buddy requests.

PowWow Requests - this is for toggling prompt/refuse for automatically receiving/refusing all PowWow requests. A PowWow request is sent whenever a user would like to chat in private, and there are times when it makes sense to have control of getting a series of PowWow requests.

Voice Chat Requests - this is for toggling prompt/refuse for automatically receiving/refusing all Voice Chat requests. VoiceChat is the one-on-one telephone-like voice chat. You might prefer sometimes to not recieve any more requests for a while.

Instant Voice Messages - this is for toggling prompt/refuse for automatically receiving/refusing all Instant Voice Messages. These are short recorded messages that you may not wish to recieve at times

File Transfer Requests - this is for toggling prompt/refuse for automatically receiving/refusing all File Transfer Requests. In PowWow you have the ability to send and recieve files from your pc. This can be a document or sound file etc. This option allows you to refuse all file transfers until you switch it back.

Web Tour Requests - this is for toggling prompt/refuse for automatically receiving/refusing all Web Cruise Requests. PowWow has a feature that allows you to participate in cruises or tours of the internet. This can be a lot of fun, but maybe is not proposed at the right timing due to your being entranced in some other conversation elsewhere. So just click this to Refuse and you will not be bothered by the unwanted Web Cruise request.

Allow Colors - this is for color text and background.

Buffer Sizes - this option controls how much text from a conversation is kept in memory. It does not affect the speed or quality of your Internet connection or other options. The buffer sizes let you set the size of the history buffer in kilobytes (KB) for each text entry and display area, as long as your system has enough memory to accommodate your requested size buffer.

Automatically save all connections to address book - if you check this option, the electronic address and screen name of each person with whom you have a PowWow (Personal Communicator) session will be entered automatically into the User tab of your Address Book. This lets you easily page anyone with whom you already have chatted. Note that the addresses of people whose chat requests you have refused or ignored will not be written to your Address Book.

Fonts

This is for choosing a Font. The best font to use is Courier New. If you are seeing many square blocks where you know there should be letters in users' names it is due to using another font.
